On November 6, 2011, the Zeta ladies of the San Diego Alumnae chapter were up early to volunteer and participate in the San Diego Race for the Cure. We welcomed survivors to the Survivor Village with hats, t-shirts, and goodie bags. Other Zetas also helped with the distribution of the "In Celebration" and "In Memory" placards and breast cancer awareness information. Many of our members not only volunteered at the event but also joined the over 15,000 race participants in the 5k.

Thinking Pink with the Chargers
|
|
|
On October 2, 2011, the ladies of the San Diego Alumnae
chapter were joined by both collegiate and alumnae from all over southern
California and Nevada to help spread the word about breast cancer awareness and
education at the San Diego Charger game. Charger fans were greeted by Zetas
with Think Pink ribbons and information cards in the parking lots and as they
entered the stadium. 100 Zetas participated in a special pre-game presentation
of American flags and a pink ribbon on the field. Many Zetas stayed and enjoyed
the game sporting their Think Pink Charger t-shirts.
