Race for the Cure - 2009
As in the past, we will distribute survivors' materials (t-shirts, caps and pink "In Memory Of" and "In Celebration Of" placards) on Monday, October 26th at "Road Runner Sports" in San Diego.
On Wednesday, October 28th we need help stuffing goodie bags that will be given to the survivors at the Race. Time: 4:00 pm near the Komen office. If you can help or would like more information, contact Michelle Macartney.
This year's Race for the Cure will be held on Sunday, November 1st at Balboa Park. We will again distribute our signature pink t-shirts and caps and our "In Celebration of/In Memory Of" placards (for participants to wear during the race in honor of a friend or loved one), pink ribbons, shower cards and monthly reminder stickers. Also, we are looking to have a team of Zeta walkers in the Race this year. So, let's show them our spirit! Watch for information on how to sign up to be part of the ZETA TEAM!
NFL THINK -PINK
This is our opportunity to reach out to the entire San Diego Community and promote Breast Cancer Awareness at an NFL San Diego Chargers game. We will distribute information including Shower Cards, THINK-PINK ribbons, THINK -PINK ribbon stickers, monthly reminder sticker sheets, Race Entry forms and Race Volunteer forms at the Chargers game on Monday, October 19th!
Yoplait Yogurt "Pink Lids"
We will once again be participating in the Yoplait yogurt "pink lids" collection. In addition to the 10 cents donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for each pink yogurt lid collected by ZTA, Yoplait will donate an additional five cents to the ZTA Foundation! The Yoplait website features the ZTA lid collection. Think Thin
The Zeta Tau Alpha Foundation has a new partner in its breast cancer education and awareness campaign. think? products of Ventura, California will donate 5 cents to the ZTA Foundation for each think?protein bar it sells. The company will also donate 10 cents to Susan G. Komen for the Cure® for each think?thinpink bar. To purchase the bars at the ZTA price, visit the think?products website here.
